A hundred years ago, a powerful priestess placed a curse on the bloodline of her vicious slave owner. Resurrected by a serial killer in present day Miami, the spirit is back for retribution.
On Castillo’s sugarcane plantation in the Dominican Republic life was not easy. Señor Castillo was a bitter man who moved to the Caribbean for a fresh start but harbored an evil deep inside of him. All of his slaves practiced an ancient African religion but only one was a powerful priestess. Señor Castillo took advantage of her from an early age but once she grew older and more powerful she took revenge and cursed his bloodline.
A hundred years later in Miami’s Little Havana, the spirit of the priestess finds a human vessel and is back for retribution. One by one the killer hunts all that remains of the Castillo lineage, decapitating each victim and leaving body parts scattered around the city. The media glamorizes the serial killer as ‘El Santero’ based on the ritualistic killings.
Burt, the new kid at school, is a fish out of water in the Latin city. A couple of bullies rough him up but Vanessa saves him from being pummeled. Infatuated by her strength and beauty, Burt sneaks out in the middle of the night to meet up with her at a college party. After witnessing the murder of two of their friends, Burt & Vanessa escape to her ‘family’s store’. Waiting for them in the back of the Botañica is the vengeful spirit, along with all the heads of the victims. Vanessa picks up the sacrificial blade and with the help of the spirit she attacks Burt. Will Burt be able to escape the serial killer and put an end to the Castillo curse?
